Anthony W. da Fonseca
“Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.”
Anthony focuses his practice in the areas of design, construction, commercial real estate, business litigation and insurance matters, and routinely works with clients to develop risk management strategies to avoid litigation. He has extensive experience in prosecution and defense of professional liability claims involving design professionals on capital infrastructure projects. Anthony also represents clients in connection with drafting and negotiation of complex design and construction contracts and has experience working with all common construction industry contract forms.
After 10 years of practicing law, Anthony has found that the role of a lawyer goes well beyond the four walls of a courtroom and he is committed to helping his clients capitalize on new business opportunities or get through the difficult times in their professional lives. From an early age, Anthony taught the importance of hard work ethic and persistence in achieving your objective. This can easily be attributed to being raised on Portuguese values where family, hard work and good food are the foundation to every household. Anthony was born in Stuttgart, Germany to a father in the United States Army, and raised in Rhode Island. After graduating from Rhode Island College in 2007 with a B.A. in International management, he earned his law degree from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2010.
Since graduating from law school, Anthony successfully litigated over 55 jury trials to verdict. It is with this experience that he has learned to approach litigation as a three-dimensional exercise that contains numerous vantage points and theories other than those you see at first glance. In addition to practicing law, Anthony also dedicates a significant amount of time to giving back to his community. Whether he is volunteering for a local charitable organization, participating in community cleanups, or mentoring high school students, I always strive to leave a positive footprint along my journey.
